Room Coordinator Info
Thank you for volunteering as a LAE Classroom Coordinator!
What does a Room Coordinator do? The duties of a Classroom Coordinator are to help organize classroom activities, assist the teacher, and to communicate upcoming classroom and school-wide activities to the other parents and students in your classroom.
A Room Coordinator’s goal is to encourage parents, grandparents, family and friends to become involved in activities at LAE. Participation from volunteers is often necessary to make classroom and school functions a success.
Being a Room Coordinator is a good way to meet other parents at LAE. It’s also a great way to get to know your child’s teacher and the other children in the class.
As Room Coordinator, you are responsible for getting your class involved and participating in events that happen throughout the school year at LAE.
Please notify your classroom teacher that you are interested in becoming a Room Coordinator. Soon afterwards, you'll be invited to the Room Coordinator's meeting. At the meeting, The Lead Room Coordinator will go over some general information for you and explain what it means to be a room coordinator. They will provide a lot of information for you, including some fun teacher information and your class lists. You will also learn about Fit-A-Thon (one of our school's biggest fundraisers!!) and how you can assist your class and teacher!
There will be meetings throughout the year to help you get started in your classrooms. As a Room Coordinator, you are not alone. The parent leaders at LAE are here to guide you along the way.
